05/19/2010

New York, NY – New York Pass, New York City’s premier money-saving attraction card, announced that New York Passes were delivered to two Times Square souvenir vendors and Vietnam War Veterans, Lance Orton Sr. and Duane Jackson in honor of their heroic efforts in alerting the police to the bomb threat in New York City’s famed “Crossroads of the World” district, Times Square.

As mayors have a tradition of bestowing a “Key to the City” on good Samaritans, New York Pass presented a “Pass to the City” to two New Yorkers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help diffuse the bomb threat that saved countless lives, in addition to possibly inflicting a damaging blow to New York’s tourism industry.

“The vigilance and public mindedness shown by these two men should be an example to all New Yorkers. They helped save New York from a potential tragedy, and for that we owe them both a Pass to New York City,” says New York Pass Vice President Ken Barrows.
