Cristyne Nicholas, CEO, as former President & CEO of NYC & Company, the City’s official tourism and
marketing organization, established strategic marketing initiatives, the city’s
first-ever consumer television campaign, and citywide promotions and events including
Broadway Under the Stars, CultureFest and the Nike NYC Half Marathon. Her career began
in government and politics starting as a campaign aide to US Senator Bill Bradley (NJ), press
secretary to US Representative Helen Bentley (MD), New Jersey campaign press secretary
for President George H.W. Bush, and she served as Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani’s Chief
Spokesperson and Director of Communications. Cristyne is an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s
Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management and currently
serves on the Steering Committee of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY) and
on the Boards of the Big Apple Greeters, Broadway Association and Mayor's Midtown Citizens
Committee. A Friar and member of the Women's Forum, Cristyne received a B.A. in Political
Science from Rutgers University.
